I became interested in law when I was 17 years old. I had a friend that was falsely accused of shoplifting at a gas station. Unfortunately, she did not hire a criminal defense attorney to represent her and did not know what she was doing in court. She did not know what defenses were available to her or that there was evidence to prove her innocence. That is when I wanted to know more about the law.
I grew up in North Dakota and attended college at the University of Washington in Seattle, where I received my BA in Psychology. I received a full scholarship to attend law school at Arizona State University and obtained my Juris Doctorate degree.
In my travels, I drove through Colorado and fell in love with its beauty. My husband and I moved here in 2001 and have lived in Thornton ever since.
I want to help my clients through the legal process in Colorado, whether it is a criminal case, a DUI or a personal injury case. People deserve to have someone on their side and to fight for their rights.

Although I fight for my clients, I have a good reputation with insurance companies and the District Attorneys in Colorado. They know they cannot get away with treating my clients unfairly. I have practiced in most jurisdictions in Colorado and am very familiar with each county’s practices and procedures.
For the past 18 years, my focus has been on criminal defense and personal injury cases. I have successfully gone to jury trials in both areas.
